There is no question that cloud computing is here to stay. This meetup is designed to help the PHP developer understand the architecture and capability of the Windows Azure Platform (Azure).
Azure has been designed from the ground up to be interoperable with multiple languages, developer tooling, frameworks, and protocols. This meetup will outline a developer-focused overview of this new platform and the cloud computing services that can be used either together or independently to build highly scalable applications. As the meetup unfolds, we’ll explore data storage, SQL Azure, and the basics of deployment with Windows Azure. Bruno will also address the business case of Azure and provide some examples of how the cloud is there to solve real business problems. Finally, Bruno will provide concrete examples of how the average PHP developers can use Eclipse and other freely available tools to create Azure-enabled applications.
